Tier 1 Exam Pattern
There will be four sections with 25 questions each namely: General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical/ Analytical Ability, and English Language.

For every wrong answer, ¼ marks will be deducted from each section's total.
In order to qualify for Tier 2 Exam, the candidate is required to score a minimum of 33 marks out of 100.
Tier 2 Exam Pattern
Tier 2 will have essay writing and English comprehension. The total time allotted for this stage is 1 hour.

For Tier 2 Exam, the obtained marks will be converted "out of 100 marks". A candidate is required to score a minimum of 33 marks out of 100.
Tier 3 Exam
On the basis of combined performance in Tier 1 and 2 exams, the candidate will be evaluated for his/her eligibility in the Tier 3 exam (Interview). The date, place and venue for the interview will be communicated to the qualifying candidates.
Eligibility condition involves Age, education, and knowledge of local languages as criteria. Candidates should satisfy the following eligibility conditions:
Educational Qualification: Candidates who are appearing for IB ACIO 2020 exam, should have completed their graduation from a recognized university or equivalent and candidates should have some basic computer knowledge.
Age limit: Candidate's age should be in between 18-27 years.

Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST & 3 years for OBC candidates. Upper age limit is relaxable for departmental candidates up to 40 years of age who have rendered 3 years of regular & continuous service. This relaxation is applicable only to the Central Govt. Civilian employees.
IB ACIO 2020 Exam Syllabus
IB ACIO exam syllabus consists of four sections. General Awareness, Quantitative aptitude, Analytical/Logical ability, and English language are the four sections. Syllabus for each section is as follows:
- General Awareness: This portion has a very vast syllabus that includes History, Physics, Biology, Current Affairs, Politics, and Economics.
- Quantitative aptitude: It includes all the topics that are there up to 10 class syllabus of Mathematics in CBSE.
- Logical/Analytical Reasoning: It includes Analogies, similarities, and differences, spatial orientation, discrimination, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, observation, spatial visualization, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
- English Language: It includes Grammar Rules, antonyms, synonyms, one-word substitution, idioms & phrases, fill in the blanks, Reading Comprehension/Passage, Cloze Test, Para-Jumble Sentences, etc.
Salary Structure of IB Intelligence Officers (ACIO)
The Job is known for its lavish salary structure. The pay scale is 9300- 34,800 that varies based the on the area of posting. Besides this, the selected candidates will get special security allowances.

Job Posting of IB Intelligence Officers (ACIO)
- IB ACIO is a very unpredicted job, one can be posted in any state including border regions.
- It is one of the very risky jobs. Hence, female candidates are not posted on the border and Naxalist region.
Training of IB Intelligence Officers (ACIO)
Every batch of ACIO, which happens once in 2 years, has 750 Joinees. But, the training center at Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh can accommodate only 120 trainees at a time. So, these 750 people are divided into 6 batches and are sent to training one-by-one.
The training comprises of three stages:
- Phase 1 Training – Shivpuri, MP – 60 Days
- Phase 2 Training – Delhi – 60 Days
- Phase 3 – On The Job Training – 60 Days
